With over 5 years of hands-on experience caring for a variety of pet birds, I created Pets Mingle to share everything I’ve learned, helping bird owners make better choices and avoid the mistakes I made along the way.

My Story

My journey with pet birds started over five years ago and what began as curiosity quickly turned into a deep, lasting passion. Over the years I have had the privilege of caring for a wonderful variety of birds including parrots, cockatiels, canaries, finches, and budgies/parakeets, each with their own unique personality, needs, and quirks.

Like most new bird owners, I started out making plenty of mistakes — choosing the wrong cage size, feeding the wrong foods, missing early signs of illness. There wasn’t always one reliable place I could turn to for honest, practical advice. That frustration is exactly what inspired me to create Pets Mingle.

What I Believe

    I believe that every bird deserves an owner who is informed, prepared, and genuinely passionate about their wellbeing. The right information at the right time can make the difference between a bird that merely survives and one that truly thrives. That belief is at the heart of everything I publish on Pets Mingle.
